Grassroots testing

01

Grassroots testing

Inspect the wall for flatness, verticality, hollow sounds, and pH levels. Ensure that the moisture content of the substrate meets construction standards. Any non-conforming areas must be marked in advance for remediation.

Entry preparation

02

Entry preparation

Count and inventory construction materials, tools, and protective equipment; plan the material storage areas; and conduct thorough technical briefings and safety training for construction personnel.

Material arrival

03

Material arrival

Organize the timely delivery of various materials according to the construction schedule. Categorically stack stone-effect paints, mortars, auxiliary materials, and other supplies, and take proper measures to protect them from moisture, sunlight, and tipping over.

Finished product protection

04

Finished product protection

Cover non-construction areas such as doors, windows, railings, and drainage pipes with protective films and masking paper to prevent paint contamination or mortar splashes from causing damage.

Grassroots repair

05

Grassroots repair

After removing the hollow areas on the wall, re-plaster them. For cracks, fill them with crack-resistant mortar and apply a crack-resistant mesh. Irregularities in holes and internal/external corners must be leveled and corrected.

String-line grid division

06

String-line grid division

Based on the actual site conditions, determine the size and placement of the grid divisions, ensuring that the lines are horizontally and vertically straight and that the grid spacing is uniform and consistent.

Formwork strip/aluminum alloy strip

07

Formwork strip/aluminum alloy strip

Attach molding strips or aluminum alloy strips along the guideline to serve as grid boundaries. The attachment must be firm and smooth to prevent edge warping or displacement later on.

Coarse crack-resistant mortar leveling (with fiberglass mesh applied)

08

Coarse crack-resistant mortar leveling (with fiberglass mesh applied)

Apply a thick, crack-resistant mortar while embedding fiberglass mesh and compacting it thoroughly to enhance the wall’s crack resistance. The leveling thickness must comply with relevant standards to avoid being either too thick or too thin.

Flush curing

09

Flush curing

After the mortar has surface-dried, proceed with water-curing by sprinkling water onto the surface at least twice daily for a curing period of no less than 7 days, to prevent cracking and pulverization of the base layer.

Fine crack resistance, leveling and smoothing

10

Fine crack resistance, leveling and smoothing

After the rough mortar layer has dried, apply a fine crack-resistant mortar to further refine the wall’s smoothness and ensure that the base surface is smooth and free of noticeable joints.

Surface polishing

11

Surface polishing

Lightly sand the wall surface with sandpaper or a sanding machine to remove mortar lumps, burrs, and drips. After sanding, remove any loose dust to ensure the substrate is clean.

Detail repair

12

Detail repair

Perform localized repairs on minor defects and edge/joint seams that remain after sanding, ensuring consistent overall wall smoothness.

Wall inspection

13

Wall inspection

Recheck the wall’s flatness and verticality; any deviations must be kept within the specified tolerances. Only after the moisture content and pH levels meet the standards can the work proceed to the next stage.

Stone-effect paint-specific primer

14

Stone-effect paint-specific primer

Evenly apply the base coat specifically designed for Meilijia stone-effect paint to enhance adhesion between the substrate and the mid-coat, seal the substrate pores, and prevent efflorescence and color bleeding.

Stone-effect paint with matching mid-coat

15

Stone-effect paint with matching mid-coat

After the primer has dried, apply a mid-coat of the same color to initially create an imitation stone base tone, enhancing the color-rendering effect of the pigment layer. The application must be even and free of any missed spots.

Stone-effect paint with color speckles

16

Stone-effect paint with color speckles

Use a spray gun to apply Meilijia stone-effect paint with colored dots, carefully controlling the spray gun’s pressure and distance to ensure even distribution and consistent density of the dots, thereby faithfully reproducing the texture of natural stone.

Apply edge paint to the grooves.

17

Apply edge paint to the grooves.

Apply edge-coating paint evenly along the grid grooves to outline the lines, enhance the three-dimensional effect of the grid, and simultaneously protect the edges of the grooves from contamination.

Grinding edge for polishing

18

Grinding edge for polishing

After the edge-coating paint has dried, use a dedicated edge-grinding tool to smooth and straighten the lines, ensuring that no burrs or flash edges remain.

Special topcoat for stone-effect paint

19

Special topcoat for stone-effect paint

Apply a specialized topcoat for Meilijia faux stone paint via spray or roller to form a protective film, enhancing the wall’s resistance to dirt and weathering while boosting the gloss and texture of the faux stone paint.

Completion Self-Inspection

20

Completion Self-Inspection

Check the overall wall finish against construction standards, including color uniformity, distribution of color spots, and straightness of lines. Promptly rectify any defective areas.

Completion cleanup

21

Completion cleanup

Remove protective measures, clean up paint residues and debris from walls and the construction site, and wipe down contaminated areas such as doors and windows.

Delivery and Acceptance

22

Delivery and Acceptance

Organize on-site acceptance of project quality by the client, verify that the scope of construction matches the design requirements, simultaneously calculate the actual quantities of work, and complete the acceptance signing procedures.

Surface polishing (optional)

08

Surface polishing (optional)

If you have high requirements for wall smoothness, after the surface putty has completely dried, lightly sand the wall with fine-grit sandpaper to polish it. Once polished, use a clean cloth to remove any loose dust, leaving the wall with a细腻 and smooth texture.

Grassroots testing

01

Grassroots testing

Inspect the wall for flatness, verticality, hollow sounds, and pH levels. Ensure that the moisture content of the substrate meets construction standards. Any non-conforming areas must be marked in advance for remediation.
