Building defense through training and readiness through drills! Meilijia Group conducts occupational safety training and emergency response drills to establish a robust safety production defense.

Safe production is the lifeline of enterprise development, and emergency response capability serves as the “amulet” that safeguards employee safety. To further strengthen all employees’ awareness of occupational safety protection, to evaluate the practicality and operability of emergency response plans, and to comprehensively enhance capabilities in emergency handling and coordinated operations in the event of sudden chemical leaks, on the afternoon of April 9, Meilijia Group The Production and Manufacturing Center organized a high-standard, realistic chemical spill emergency response drill in the base-material operations area, using drills to enhance prevention and training to ensure preparedness, thereby establishing a robust safety barrier for the company’s high-quality development.

Accurately simulate real-world scenarios and rapidly initiate emergency response.

This drill centers on the base-material operations area and closely replicates a real-world emergency scenario: a base-material team member, while operating a forklift to transport a corrosion inhibitor, accidentally tips over the container, causing the chemical to spill and splash onto the legs of on-site personnel. The exercise is designed to reflect, as accurately as possible, the actual risks encountered on the production floor.

Prior to the drill, the Production and Manufacturing Center took the lead in developing a scientifically rigorous, dedicated drill plan that clearly defined the responsibilities of each emergency response team, including the overall commander, on-site commander, communications liaison, perimeter security and evacuation, medical rescue, and site cleanup. The center also ensured that all necessary emergency supplies—such as first-aid kits, personal protective equipment, warning tape, and decontamination tools—were fully stocked, and meticulously outlined every step of the entire process, from incident reporting and emergency response to on-site handling and post-drill review and analysis. This approach guarantees that responsibilities are assigned to specific individuals, procedures are clear, and coordination is seamless throughout the exercise.

At 3:00 p.m., the drill was officially launched. Following the incident, on-site personnel immediately shouted for help, swiftly donned protective gear, and evacuated the injured to an uncontaminated, open area in the raw-materials zone, while simultaneously reporting the emergency to the plant manager. Upon receiving the report, the overall commander (the plant manager) promptly arrived at the scene, immediately issued the order to activate the emergency response, and assigned the office director to serve as the on-site commander, coordinating the rapid assembly and efficient handling by all emergency response teams. The entire response process was characterized by swift reaction and clear instructions, thereby securing a critical window of time for subsequent operations.

Multi-team collaborative and efficient operations, with end-to-end closed-loop emergency response.

Under the unified command and dispatch at the scene, all emergency response teams adhered strictly to their assigned roles as outlined in the contingency plan, responding promptly upon receiving orders and coordinating seamlessly to successfully complete the entire emergency response process:

Medical Rescue Team: Immediately assist the injured in removing contaminated clothing, thoroughly rinse the affected areas with copious amounts of clean water, and perform standardized on-site first aid; during transport, ensure that the Material Safety Data Sheet for this batch of materials is carried aboard the vehicle to the hospital, providing professional support for subsequent precise medical treatment and maximizing the safety of the injured.

Alert and Evacuation Team: Immediately deploy warning tape, set up “Danger Zone—No Entry” signage, systematically evacuate unauthorized personnel from the site, cordon off contaminated areas, ensure that emergency response access routes remain unobstructed at all times, and effectively mitigate secondary risks.

Communications and Liaison Group: Simultaneously simulate dialing the 120 emergency medical services hotline, clearly report the accident details and the location of the plant area, assign dedicated personnel to the plant entrance to guide the ambulance, and ensure accurate internal and external information transmission and coordination to guarantee the efficient execution of emergency directives.

Site Cleanup Team: After the injured have been properly treated, the team will conduct professional and thorough decontamination of contaminated areas, comprehensively clean up leaked chemicals, eliminate on-site safety hazards, and ensure that the work area quickly returns to normal production conditions.

The entire drill was conducted in a tense yet orderly manner, with each phase seamlessly linked to the next. All procedures were rigorously carried out in strict accordance with the emergency response plan, fully demonstrating the Meilijia emergency team’s exceptional professional competence and highly efficient collaborative operational capabilities.

Conduct post-event reviews to identify and address weaknesses, thereby strengthening the long-term safety defense.

Following the conclusion of the drill, the chief commander and the on-site commander conducted a comprehensive review and debriefing of the exercise, commending the effective emergency response demonstrated by each team. At the same time, they identified specific issues that surfaced during the drill and put forward targeted recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements, thereby further refining the emergency response procedures and addressing existing gaps in safety management.

The chief commander emphasized that there are no small matters when it comes to workplace safety, and that emergency response drills are a crucial tool for testing contingency plans, training personnel, and enhancing capabilities. The Group should take this drill as an opportunity to continuously strengthen safety awareness across the board, conduct regular safety training and emergency response drills, ensure that safety principles are deeply ingrained in employees’ minds, and enable them to master emergency response skills proficiently. In doing so, we must effectively translate workplace safety responsibilities into concrete actions at every post and in every process.

This emergency drill not only comprehensively evaluated the scientific soundness and operational feasibility of Meilijia’s chemical spill emergency response plan, but also effectively enhanced employees’ self-help and mutual-assistance capabilities as well as the on-the-job proficiency of the emergency response team, thereby further strengthening all staff’s awareness of chemical spill risks. Moving forward, Meilijia Group will continue to maintain a high level of vigilance regarding workplace safety, embracing a sense of responsibility that ensures “we are never fully at ease,” by conducting regular safety training and emergency drills across the board. Through these efforts, the company will continuously improve its inherent safety performance, build a robust safety defense for its employees, and provide solid support for its high-quality development.
